The designers of Rui Fu adhere to their consistent design concept of "Do Not Overdo," using the most concise techniques and abandoning complicated decorations. The result is a quiet and comfortable family space that allows people to better receive spiritual nourishment. The villa's unique properties lie in its focus on creating a sense of fluency of space, opening up barriers between spaces and floors, and aiding traffic flow and spatial penetration.
The original U-shaped layout of the villa posed challenges to traffic flow and did not conform to people's living habits. To address this, the designers added a corridor linking the tips of the U-shape at the entrance, creating a foyer that extends the space. Additionally, a new staircase was placed at the diagonals of the square floor layout, facilitating vertical traffic between floors.
The interior of Rui Fu features a white tone, eliminating usual decorative techniques such as skirting and end molds. Instead, the wall corners are made into curves, creating a natural transition that eliminates the sense of spatial separation. Italian white resin paint is used as the decorative finish for the floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces, achieving a natural spatial flow and removing boundaries.
With a total area of 1,600 square meters and four floors, Rui Fu offers ample space for family activities. The second floor serves as the main entrance, housing the spaces for family gatherings. The first floor leads to the garden and accommodates the bedrooms for children and elderly family members, ensuring easy access. The third floor consists of the master bedroom and a baby room, while the basement includes a family library and entertainment spaces.
The design of Rui Fu began in November 2019 and was completed in January 2021. It successfully combines the essence of Eastern and Western culture, introducing nature and art into the space. The incorporation of greenery, sunlight, and artworks creates a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.
Rui Fu received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics. This award recognizes creations that meet professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
